Hello friends,
I’m Bernadett, the grower, steward, herbalist of a small patch of land on the outside edge of the city of Columbus, Ohio. Just like some of the herbaceous habitants here, I’m a transplant from a different biome. I moved to the USA nearly 20 years ago. After a decade of transplant shock, I found a way to make this place a home. Through the ever reaching roots or my plant allies, I established myself firmly in the rich soil of Central Ohio. As the diversity of fauna and flora grew around me, so did my curiosity and my passion to learn about them, to help them, and to grow with them. This connection gives me a sense of joy and well being, and a never- ending thirst for a deeper understanding of the relationship between plants and people. A good relationship is based on reciprocity. For all that I’m given by this land, I’m striving to give back more. Integrity in my growing practices is a way of saying “thank you.”
